One hundred percent of the profit made by TheOnlinePhoneBook.com Limited (after tax) is given to the development of the student charity, Students Work.

What

Students Work is a charity that solves some of the problems raised by tuition fees, that develops and creates local-student relationships, as well as being a fully comprehensive resource for student recruitment.

Students Work is a charitable website on which charities can list manpower requirements (with the manpower requirements overlaid on a map of the UK).  Students can then target their most local area of need and find a charity which needs their help.  They will then be reimbursed for the time they put in after a satisfactory performance rating - this to help support them during their years at university when it is often difficult for students to find a flexible part-time job.

Why

Over 630,000 university students were working between 2005 and 2006 during term time – this is before the introduction of top up fees and does not account for holiday work. Students Work offers a flexible easy way for students to gain meaningful employment.

Over 50% of people polled in the Institute of Volunteer Research’s poll did not find it easy to recruit volunteers. Students Work will get more charitable work done and give an easy format for future volunteer recruitment.

Opportunities

For donors, Students Work offers a unique opportunity amongst charities. Not only does donating offer the standard piece of mind, knowing that you have helped a charity, a student and a secondary charity in this case, let alone giving you the opportunity to claim tax back, but it gives the chance to be provided with a service!

As a donor you may buy advertising space and be seen by over 60,000 users a week within the first twelve months, as a significant donor and graduate recruiter you can also target a comprehensive and complete database of student C.Vs with full feedback on all the work carried out by the student so far!

For the student, there is opportunity to help others where once there wasn’t, there is an opportunity to gain meaningful employment without excessive commitment and there is an opportunity to dramatically enhance your C.V.
